How to Sign Up on MyRC
If you’ve never logged into MyRC, in order to gain access, you will first need to register. There are three instances of registration.
Registration Type 1: (Blended & Online Courses)
If you are registered for a Blended course (in-class and online portions) or registered for an online-only course.
Step 1. Check your email inbox, you will receive an invitation email shortly after the CRC Training Partner registers you into your blended or online course. In this email, click on the invitation link to begin the registration process.
Step 2. Clicking on the link will redirected you to the sign up/registration page on MyRC. [Fig. 040 – a to b]
- Click on “Sign up Now” to register with an email and password (Proceed to Step 3)
or - Choose a social media option to register with.
Note: Once you have chosen a method to register, you will need to use the same method to sign in going forward. Choosing different log in options will create a second profile that will not have your details or certifications.
Step 3. Choosing Option a. [Fig. 040 – 1 to 5]
- First enter your email address
- Click on “Send verification code (Fig. 039). Only applies to Registration Type 3.
- Check your email, for a verification code that will be sent to you.
- Enter the verification code and click “Verify code”
3. Choose a password which should be
- 8 to 16 Characters long
- Containing 3 out of 4 of the following
- Lowercase Characters (a,b,c)
- Uppercase Characters (A,B,C)
- Digits (0-9)
- Symbol (@,#,$,%,^,&,*,-,+,=, etc..)
- Repeat the password from step 3.
Note: do not lose this password, along with your email (username) it is how you will log into MyRC in the future
- Click the “Create” button. If all steps are done correctly, the “Create” button will now be blue (not shown)
Step 4. You will be redirected to “My Profile”
- Make sure all information is correct
- Fill out any missing information
Step 5. When done, scroll to the bottom of “My Profile and click on “Update”
Registration Type 2 (In-Class Course Only)
If you are registered for an in-class course only
Step 1. Once your course is completed, make sure to check your email, you will receive an invitation & certifications for that course. (in pdf form) In this email, click on the invitation link to begin the registration process.
Step 2. Follow instructions for Registration Type 1, Steps 2 through 5.
Registration Type 3 (Self-Registration – Not Recommended)
Note: this will create a blank registration with none of your course or certification info
Step 1. Go to myrc.redcross.ca & click on SIGN IN/REGISTER on the top right-hand corner.
